Supplier spotlight: Plasterers

By October 15, 2018No Comments

The results of a good (or terrible!) plastering job will be evident throughout your home for years. It’s a messy and hard job, but a crucial one in ensuring the interior of your home is finished in a smooth and complete way.

PLASTERERS – WHAT DO THEY DO?

So why do builders plaster walls before having them painted? The answer is simple really; plastering creates a seamless wall or ceiling surface that allows for painting or wallpapering to take place quickly and easily.

The other benefit of a great plastering job is a strong and even finish that is resistant to knocks and dents in most cases. This is why we outsource the job to a handful of local contractors who take care of all our (and your home’s) plaster needs.

Tim and his team from New Era Plastering, based right here in Wagga, are our go-to contractors when it comes to plastering our new homes.

When it comes to gathering the supplies that will provide the highest level of quality for our residential projects, we work with one of Australia’s largest construction distribution networks, PlastaMasta, to source what we need to complete your home’s interior walls, ceilings, acoustic linings, and cornices.

CEMENT RENDERING

Do we plaster the exterior of the home? Short answer, no. Although, cement rendering could very well be considered the exterior version of plastering, and rendering is an aesthetic choice a huge number of our clients choose.

Rendering involves the application of mixed sand and cement to a brick wall, which can then be textured, coloured, or painted to achieve many different looks.

The PAH team call on the services of BJ and KL Winter Cement Rendering to apply this service to our rendered homes.

Without suppliers like these, our team wouldn’t be able to offer you the same expertise, quality and affordability that has become synonymous with the PAH Construction brand, when it comes to designing and building your dream home.
